When a leaf arises

This evening, Sir Pomp and I were meandering through the seemingly untouched forest of Meyan Mare district when we came across the most beautiful leaf. It was far too large to have fallen from any native tree. I know this because I looked up – something you should never do in the Meyan Mare district. I paid heavily for this act and am still applying sap to my face each morning to counteract the drippings but it was worth it to confirm my suspicion – that this leaf had not fallen, but had, in fact, risen. Some call them mushrooms but that would not be fair to the species. I would classify it as a dirt leaf. Of course, we left the Dirt Leaf where we found it as it is the only food source for the already stressed Meyan Drooke Pig. Gonk, gonk!
